Six die of electric shock in C China

ZHENGZHOU - Six people died and one was injured in an electrocution accident in Central China's Henan province, local authorities said Wednesday.
The accident happened at about 2 pm Tuesday when workers from Henan Water and Power Consulting Engineering Co, Ltd. were conducting a field survey in the village of Shiqiao in Xinyang City, sources with the publicity department of the municipal committee of Communist Party.
The workers were carrying a tripod, which accidentally touched the high-voltage wire, according to the department.
The injured has since been rushed to a local hospital, and the injuries are not life-threatening, sources said.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
