China's stocks open lower on Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese equities extended losses at the Tuesday opening from a sharp drop on Monday's close to their lowest level in almost a year.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.19 percent, to open at 2,555.14 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.13 percent to 9,719.07 points at opening.
