Xia Deren: Internet a good way to stay in touch

Xia Deren, secretary of Dalian Municipal Party Committee, said he regards the Internet as an important way to communicate with citizens in Dalian.
"The first thing when I am in the office is to be online. I read the latest news and use the Internet a lot," Xia said in an interview with China’s Central Television (CCTV).
When asked whether he posts comments using his real name, Xia shook his head, saying, “I usually don't. Because if I disclose my identity, I am afraid that it may affect people’s opinions. Someone may think I am abusing my power as a leader.”
