Chen Guangjun, 43, called police at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, saying he had just killed six people in a rented house in Gaoyang County, Baoding City, said Wang Tianyu, a political officer with the public security bureau of Gaoyang, Tuesday.

Chen, a native of Heilongjiang Province in northeast China, arrived at Gaoyang February 27 and lived in the same home as the two men, two women and two girls who died.

However, Wang refused to give any other details, saying police were still investigating the case.
