The suspects admitted starting seven websites with servers based outside of China in November 2008. They produced more than 10 kinds of fake drugs using the names of military hospitals in central China's Hubei Province, according to the report.

Nearly 10,000 people nationwide bought the fake drugs online, with the suspects raking in over 1 million yuan ($146,488) in sales, the suspects admitted.

The fake drug sellers fraudulently affiliated their websites with the PLA hospitals to win public trust.
