Police have seized the suspect, a 40-year-old man surnamed Zhang, who, in a fit of temper, deliberately hit vehicles, bicycle riders and pedestrians with a bus.

Three police wagons were among the vehicles hit by the bus.

Before the serial accidents, Zhang, a clerk with the Tianbao Transportation Co based at Tianjin's economic development zone, injured a colleague surnamed Li with a knife in a conflict at around 8 am, police and witnesses said.

Among the injured were four policemen who were trying to stop Zhang.
