News media covering all People's Courts should be given wider access to do their job, but inappropriate reports should be punished, according to a new regulation issued and cited on chinanews.cn Wednesday.
China's Supreme Court issued the order Wednesday stating it is right the proceedings of the court are followed, and the media should also report responsibly what comes to trial.
"Regulations on People's Courts and News Media" said all People's Courts were demanded to provide convenience to news media and setting up media seats was encouraged. Media workers should obey the court law. Any media that makes untrue or biased reports will be punished according to law.
