QINGCHUAN COUNTY, Sichuan Province -- Rescuers have brought under control an ammonia gas leak in a meat processing factory in the quake-hit area of southwest China's Sichuan Province, according to local sources.

No injury was found in the accident that was reported at around 6:00 pm Saturday in Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City, north of the epicenter of Monday's magnitude 7.8 earthquake.

Staff from local environmental protection bureau, fire brigade and public security department rushed to the scene and emergency measures were taken in time, sources said.
