A campaign aimed at regulating food safety was officially launched in Jinan on September 17.

The campaign has made dining hall of construction sites, colleges and hospitals and small restaurants as its main targets. According to the campaign, the food safety monitoring during key periods of time, such as Mid-Autumn Day, National Day golden week and 17th National Congress of the CPC, will be strengthened.

Based on the requirements of the campaign, from mid-September to mid-October, all levels of hygiene administration and supervision departments will carry out a comprehensive overhaul on catering industry and establish food safety archives .

A hotline, with the number of 81278666, has been set up by the city’s hygiene control authority to deal with the complaints and reportings from its residents.
