A 10-year-old boy from Dalian, Liaoning Province, called a lawyer, a friend of his dad, asking if he would represent him to get more pocket money from his father.

"Receiving his call last week, I thought that his parents might be divorced. So, he needed expenses for his own upbringing," the lawyer, Wu, said on Tuesday.

"Later, he told me that he wanted to sue his dad because the dad didn't give much pocket money."

The dad refused to give his son more pocket money fearing it would spoil him. To his amusement, his child decided to take him to court for the money.
