Truck-van collision kills five in E. China

HEFEI -- A truck-van collision in east China's Anhui Province has killed five people, sources with the local traffic police said Friday.

The accident happened around 00:38 a.m. Friday in Changfeng County of Hefei City, when a van with three people on board crashed head-on with a mini-truck carrying two people.

All five passengers were killed on the scene. Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.

Another traffic accident in east China's Zhejiang Province on Friday has left 16 people dead after a bus collided with a truck and plunged into a reservoir.
