Chinese stocks edge higher Monday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed slightly higher Monday after the central bank announced Saturday to lower banks' reserve requirement ratio by 50 basis points.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went up 6.42 points, or 0.27 percent, to finish at 2,363.6. The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 0.01 percent, or 1.31 points, to end at 9,616.65.
