Gold price opens lower in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - The gold price in Hong Kong went down HK$260 to open at HK$14,770 per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,594.22 a troy ounce, down $27.43 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.777.
