Chinese shares open modestly lower Wednesday

BEIJING - Chinese shares opened moderately lower Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index losing 0.39 percent to open at 2,157.65.
The Shenzhen Component Index moved down 44.22 points, or 0.51 percent, to opened at 8,667.33.
