Chinese stocks close up Friday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index adding 0.85 percent, or 18.49 points, to close at 2,204.78.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.75 percent, or 67.17 points, to finish at 8,976.52.
