Chinese stocks close down Wednesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropping by 1.12 percent, or 24.78 points, to close at 2,191.15.
The Shenzhen Component Index slid 1.63 percent, or 147.42 points, to finish at 8,884.25.
