Sales strong for JLR in China

Jaguar Land Rover delivered 53,616 vehicles in China in the first nine months of the year, an 80 percent surge over the same period last year.

Its Land Rover division sold 47,975 units in the first three quarters, an increase of 85 percent.

Jaguar sold 5,641 cars in the period, 48 percent more than the same period last year.

The company will display its new Jaguar F-Type and Range Rover model at the Guangzhou auto show in November, after the two models' world premier at the Paris auto show.

The automaker has now authorized 141 dealerships in China, 96 of them already in operation.
