ChiNext stock market down -- April 23

BEIJING - The ChiNext was down Friday as only 20 of the 71 stocks at China's start-up board for small and medium-sized enterprises rose, while other two stocks were suspended from trading.

The board, which is based in Shenzhen and started trading on October 30, 2009, is tailored to the needs of enterprises engaged in independent innovation and other enterprises with great growth potential.
