Applied Materials Inc, the world's largest supplier of manufacturing equipment to the semiconductor, display and solar photovoltaic industries, said the company’s executive vice-president, Mark Pinto, has relocated to Beijing.
Pinto will focus on growing the company's energy and display business in Asia while maintaining his additional roles as the company's global chief technology officer and general manager of Applied's energy and display systems group.
The transfer furthers Applied's commitment in China just months after opening its solar technology center in Xi'an, the largest non-governmental solar energy research facility in the world.
