French businesses to showcase products in Chengdu, China

About 30 French enterprises are going to bring a bit of France to an exhibition in Chengdu city of Southwest China later this month, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) said Friday.

Including big brands like Citroen and Decathlon, 29 French enterprises will present their speciality products from October 23-27 on Chunxilu, a famous commercial street in Chengdu.

During the five-day exhibition, there will be two keynote speeches on French architecture and wine and cheese. There also will be exhibitions featuring French cars, sports products and upholstery designs.

"Chengdu has a population equal that of Germany, among which young people are twice as many as that of Beijing or Shanghai. Moreover, it benefits a lot from China's western development strategy," the CCIP said.
