CIRC's local bureaus undergo management reshuffle

The China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) issued an announcement on its management reshuffling at local bureaus, the 21st Century Business Herald reported.

According to the announcement, Ren Jianguo and Lu Qing will become director and director assistant of the Shandong bureau respectively; Zhao Qinghan, deputy director of the Henan bureau; and Jiao Qingping and Yao Qinghai, will both be deputy directors of the Hubei bureau.

The CIRC also appointed Jiang Yutang and Zhao Wei deputy director and director assistant of the Guangdong Bureau respectively, Wang Genxiu director assistant of the Shaanxi bureau, Zhu Jianmin and Yan Li deputy director and director assistant of the Xinjiang bureau respectively.

Meanwhile, Ren Jianguo will no longer serve as director of the Hubei bureau, and Wang Genxiu will no longer work for the Xinjiang bureau as deputy director.

Among the new chiefs for local bureaus, three are from the CIRC. They are Zhao Qinghan, who previously worked for the CIRC's Bureau of Supervision; Zhao Wei, former secretary of the CIRC's Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Chen Xinquan; and Yao Qinghai, former director of the System Office under the CIRC's Department of Agency.

In recent years, the CIRC has spent a lot of energy on the development of supervisory staff. To improve supervisory results, it expanded the team of related executives from 672 in early 2002 to 1,816 at the beginning of 2008. Meanwhile, it stepped up exchanges of supervisory executives.
