A media preview of an exhibition that allows visitors to interact with their childhood heroes through AI was held at Shanghai's Yu Garden.

With the help of technologies such as face and voice recognition, and the Vicon motion system, people can travel down memory lane to meet animated versions of classic Chinese animation, such as the Monkey King, Ne Zha and the Black Cat Sheriff.

The exhibition officially opens Friday and will run for a month.
