What are the highlights of your exhibits at the China International Import Expo? Are you launching any new products, technologies or solutions?

JLR demonstrates the newest premium product portfolio at the show, offering visitors the unique experience of "Britishness" and cutting-edge technologies. Jaguar I-PACE is the centerpiece of our exhibition. It is our first all-electric performance SUV, also the industry's first of its kind production electric luxury SUV. This shows JLR's commitment to bringing world leading technologies and products to Chinese consumers.

In terms of deals, what do you expect from the CIIE? Whom are you targeting?

CIIE provides valuable platform to promote trade opportunities in Chinese market, aiming at advancing economic globalization. We hope we could continue to cultivate trade relationships between China and UK and further promote British automobile image. We are expecting to enhance our insights into the industry's trends and changes through in-depth exchanges with policy-makers, peers and consumers.

Do you think the CIIE could eventually help drive the development or upgrade of the industry your company is in, and your company's strategy in China?

CIIE demonstrates China's firm commitment to further reform and opening-up which will surely help drive the development of the auto industry in an innovative and sustainable way.

In terms of auto industry, China has emerged as the world's largest auto market over the four decades thanks to the reform and opening-up. JLR is a beneficiary of this policy and has achieved leapfrog development since its entry into China in 2010, i.e. sales in China grew by 6 folds with the cumulative sales exceeding 800,000 units. Today, China has become JLR's largest single-country market.

What's your view on China's pledge to further open up its markets to foreign companies? How would that benefit your business? Any specific examples?

JLR highly welcomes China's pledge to further open up its markets. This means greater market access and huge potential for multinationals including JLR.

JLR is committed to growing with China. Our strategy in China is to reinforce innovation co-operation with our partners across various fields, constantly refine our localization strategy, and improve the mobility experience for Chinese consumers so as to achieve long-term sustainable development.

What is your forecast for China's economy in the next three years? What key issues will you be watching for?

In the "New Era", Chinese economy is heading toward high-quality development driven by innovation and sustainability. JLR has strong confidence to Chinese economy in the next three years. In auto industry, China is leading the development of green and smart mobility. We see great growth potentials and opportunities here. JLR is committed to China and confident about its future. We will focus on enhancing customer experience and maintaining a healthy development of dealer network so as to continue the sustainable growth in China market.
