What are the highlights of your exhibits at the China International Import Expo? Are you launching any new products, technologies or solutions?

With the theme of Connecting People and Possibilities, the FedEx exhibition focuses on our commitment to connecting the world in resourceful ways and showcases our support of import trade.

It demonstrates FedEx customized shipping solutions including industry solutions for healthcare, e-commerce, and auto parts; feature the latest technology such as 3D mapping and virtual reality; introduce new services that simplify the shipping process including cross-border e-commerce solutions that provide a better experience for importers, and showcase FedEx sustainable development efforts such as the launch of new energy vehicles.

What do you expect from participation in the CIIE? Whom are you targeting?

From the CIIE, FedEx expects to learn more about our customers and the import trade. We want to better understand the products Chinese consumers want and their shipping needs. We also want to better understand importers' logistics and their shipping requirements.

We're targeting existing and potential customers with international shipping needs, especially the small- and medium-sized companies. They are one of the key drivers of import and export growth around the world.

Do you think the CIIE could eventually help drive the development or upgrade of the industry your company is in, and your company's strategy in China?

We support CIIE efforts to promote trade liberalization and economic globalization. As an advocate of global trade, FedEx applauds CIIE strategies to help drive development of the logistics industry in China.

FedEx has been in China for more than 30 years, and we're always looking at ways to enhance services and expand our networks. We're open to opportunities that can help us meet customers' needs, particularly in the area of e-commerce, a rapidly growing segment in China and around the globe.

What's your view on China's pledge to further open up its markets to foreign companies? How would that benefit your business?

We support China's goal of further opening up its markets. In doing so, it provides broader opportunities for almost all business sectors.

FedEx introduced its international delivery service to the China market in 1984. Now, we operate more than 260 international flights in China per week, through our Asia-Pacific Hub at Guangzhou, and our gateway operations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

FedEx is pleased that the China government continues to roll out policies and measures to remove obstacles to economic development and business operations. We have been working with China Customs to expand the FedEx Integrated Customs Clearance service coverage so that more customers can enjoy a fast, convenient, and efficient customs-clearance process.

What is your forecast for China's economy in the next three years? What key issues will you be watching for?

We believe that China's economy will continue to grow steadily in the upcoming years, particularly as it shifts its focus to growth driven by consumption and innovation. As noted earlier, there are plenty of opportunities in the areas of e-commerce and small and medium businesses.

FedEx is committed to long-term development in China. We want to help businesses in China harness the full potential of global trade opportunities. Therefore, we continue to increase our operational strength and tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of our Chinese customers.
