Chinese tech giant Tencent Holdings Ltd announced on Tuesday that its WeChat application for enterprise users has inked a strategic partnership with the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), in its latest move to attract more corporate clients in the country.

The app, Enterprise WeChat, will provide CCOIC with services including conference management, office automation and project management, to promote the digital transformation of CCOIC and its members.

CCOIC, a leading Chinese organization responsible for promoting economic and commercial cooperation between China and other economies, oversees around 150,000 member companies.

"The cooperation between CCOIC and Tencent is an inevitable trend," said Yu Jianlong, secretary-general of CCOIC.

"It is the best case showing how an organization can achieve optimization of resources as well as improvement of efficiency and driving force through advanced technologies," Yu added.

Enterprise WeChat, launched by Tencent in 2016, is aiming to secure its position in the country's growing office software market, especially when the company already dominates the nation's social networking market through WeChat and QQ.

"Based on our advantages on Tencent and WeChat, we have the ability to link the key procedures of companies when they run their businesses," said Lu Qingwei, product manager at Enterprise WeChat.

The app added that it will explore deeper integration of Tencent's businesses including payment, Public Accounts (a publishing tool for notification and customer management) and Mini Programs (in-app functionalities that are increasingly adopted by merchants to connect with customers) into Enterprise Wechat in the future.
