Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.44 percent, at 2,827.63 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.49 percent higher at 9,205.43 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.70 percent to close at 1,592.98 points.
