Chinese shares bounce back over 2,800 points

Chinese stocks soared on Monday to kick off the week, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.47 percent, closing at 2,815.11 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index increased 2.80 percent, rising to 9,160.62 points.

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, climbed 2.64 percent on Monday to 1,581.93 points.
