China International Development Cooperation Agency inaugurated

The China International Development Cooperation Agency was inaugurated on Wednesday in Beijing.
Yang Jiechi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee and Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister,attended the ceremony.
Wang Xiaotao, the agency's chief, also attended. He was named the head of theagency, the first of its kind in the country's history, earlier this month.
According to the plan on reforming institutions of the State Council made public last month, the agency will be in charge of tasks such as drafting strategic guidelines, planning and policies for foreign aid.
