Germany and France opened the first joint visa application center in Beijing on Tuesday, to ease the application process and attract more Chinese there.
China and France should develop a comprehensive strategic partnership, enhancing cooperation in terms of urbanization, sanitation and high-tech development, said Chinese Vice-Premier Li Keqiang on Saturday.
China wants to import more high-value-added goods from France to balance bilateral trade, and jointly tackle the global recession and debt crisis in Europe.
