Foundation-The journey of 60 years of art in China

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, an art exhibition,named "Foundation-The journey of 60 years", raised its curtain at the Time's Art Museum on September 26th. The wife of the late artist Xu Beihong, also the curator of the Xu Beihong Memorial Hall, Miss Liao Jingwen, attended the exhibition's opening.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Time's Art Museum and People's Fine Arts Publishing House. The exhibition displays 260 pieces of representative work from nearly 100 artists, all of whom significantly contributed to China's art history. Represented artists included Xu Beihong, Wu Zuoren, Zhao Ruiying, Shi Yi, Zhang Runkai, Zhang Deti and many more.

To give the audience a better view of the journey of the older generations of artists, the exhibition also displays drafts, original pictures and documents.

The exhibit's planners hope the art show will represent these artists' total devotion to their craft in China's last 60 years.

The exhibition runs until the 26th of October.
