The Nets started hot in the first quarter, with a 55 percent shooting, leading by two points, 29-27, against the Nuggets.

But the Nuggets found a way to come back and sprinted by them, scoring 31 points in the second to seize a 58-50 advantage at the half. The Nets tried to do more in half-court playing, but no one came out to score when the half-court play was stagnant.

Brooklyn's Kevin Garnett almost invisible during his nearly 17 minutes of playing, except a two-point shot in the first quarter. The Nets melted down at the end of both the second and third quarters, giving a lot of easy shots to the Nuggets.

Gaining a net-win of 16 points in the third quarter, the Nuggets pocketed its victory at the beginning of the last quarter. In contrast, the Nets' weak offense and loose defensive play provoked several rounds of boos from the crowd. Even Denver's Nate Robinson got a chance to showcase ally oops from the free throw lane.

With a big gap starting the fourth quarter, victory was grasped by the Nuggets, who crushed the Nets' strive to climb back from the bottom.

"It is frustrating… can't hang our heads and feel sorry for ourselves because no one in the league is going to feel sorry for us," Garnett said after the game. "But need to figure this out soon. I don't think anyone around here is having fun, and losing is definitely not fun."
