The goal for Liangjiang's north area in 2015 will focus on fostering innovation and promoting the modern service industry and the emerging scientific and technological industry, according to Duan Chenggang, director of the Liangjiang North New Area Working Committee, who revealed the plans at the recently-held 10th Plenary Session of the Liangjiang New Area.

The service industry is booming, thanks to the development of the Lijia International Tourism Zone, Zhaomushan Technological Zone and Jinshan International Business Zone.

In addition, the area will be devoted to helping the emerging internet finance, mobile game and creative industry businesses by offering a platform for small and medium-sized startups.

Meanwhile, the committee has been paying attention to issues concerning people's livelihood. More than half of the public finance budget will go towards basic medical care and the construction of community-level hospitals.

What's more, there will be a focus on ecological civilization construction which requires the earnest implementation of a safe production responsibility system and asks for government supervision in such matters.
