Located in Lujiazui Finance District, the 420.5-meter high Jin Mao Tower Shanghai built in 1999, 492-meter World Financial Center built in 2008 and 632-meter high Shanghai Tower under construction display Shanghai’s height and grandeur in building an international financial hub.

During the 12th Five-Year Period (2011-2015), Lujiazui invested roughly 55.1 billion yuan ($9.18 billion) to finance 10 projects — Shanghai Tower, Shanghai IFC, Tang Dong Headquarters Base, Lujiazui Riverside City, China Financial Information Building, Century Metropolis, Shanghai International Financial Center, Pudong Financial Square, NYU Shanghai and Lufa Square. The total floor area of the projects is 3.5 million square meters.

Thanks to the extensive efforts of construction workers, Shanghai International Financial Center was put into use at the end of this October. Shanghai Tower has begun construction of its 83rd-floor overground core-cube steel structure. Some hotels in Lujiazui Riverside City are being decorated and will be put into use in December. Five towers in the Tang Dong Headquarters Base have been capped; two of them will be completely finished in December. Shanghai IFC, Pudong Financial Square and Lufa Square are undergoing pile foundation construction. Century Metropolis, China Financial Information Tower and NYU Shanghai have begun structure construction and structure capping.

Lujiazui has made great efforts to ensure the high quality of key projects and aims to provide innovative financial services.
