The cold weather didn't stop people from coming outside to spend their leisure time at Peach Blossom Karst Cave, in the city of Datong, Shanxi province, which attracted hundreds of tourists in November, Datong Daily reported, on Nov 23.

Many people said they quite enjoyed the bright winter sunshine and fresh air of the suburbs and that the spot is a great place for outdoor activities, punctuated by a mild group of geese that could be found relaxing in the nearby stream.

The cave is on 1,900-meter-tall Peach Mountain in nearby Lingqiu county, which takes its name from the many peach trees that dot its sides and bloom in spring. The largest cave is 233 meters deep, with stalactites in different shapes. Local geographers say the stalactites in the caves are still growing.
