A day after the Music Acoustica-Beijing event opened, on Oct 20, at the Central Conservatory of Music, in Beijing, it held a folk concert of Datong, Shanxi province, on stage, which has been a highlight of the music festival.

Datong performers from the Folk Music Association brought different styles of music, with more than 20 folk songs from Shanxi, folk music of Northwest China and Inner Mongolia, and other items for an excellent acoustic experience that lasted about one and a half hour And clearly pleased the audience.

Li Yuehong, a professor at the Central Conservatory, thought the show impressive for its unique, well-preserved features of North China.

This is the 15th appearance of the annual festival and runs Oct 20 – 26. The festival started back in 1994, hosted by the Central Conservatory and the Center for Electroacoustic Music of China, and has attracted musicians from all over.
