Shanxi's port office attended the New Eurasian Land Bridge International Logistics Seminar on Oct 9. It signed the Qingdao Consensus with many regions to strengthen cooperation along the Yellow River basin and support international transportation along the land bridge.

The seminar was held by Qingado's port office, and departments and units from Shanxi, Sichuan, Gansu and Chongqing attended the meeting. All sides discussed strengthening cooperation in customs clearance at the port, promoting international logistics cooperation and development of the new Silk Road's economic belt, boosting port function extension and advantage complementation, and forming a common development model featuring mutual promotion. They signed the Qingdao Consensus, which aims to deepen cooperation along the Yellow River basin and support international transportation along the land bridge. All port management departments in related provinces and regions will broaden cooperation channels and fields and support inspection units in strengthening regional cooperation in customs clearance. At the same time, all parties will make full use of the resources in Qingdao and other ports to realize function extension and build the Silk Road's economic belt.

The Chinese section of the New Eurasian Land Bridge starts off in Rizhao and Lianyungang in the east and runs 4,131 kilometers across 10 provinces and regions to Alataw Pass in the west. Shanxi's Taiyuan, Jincheng, Changzhi and Jinzhong cities are covered by the land bridge.
