This year, 150 high-standard flush toilets will be installed in the city of Datong, Shanxi province.

To create a state sanitation city, Datong will complete 10 hardware construction projects, and construction of flush toilets is one of them. According to the plan, 150 flush toilets will be built, of which 94 will be installed in urban areas, 25 in the mining areas, and 25 in the southern suburbs.

All non-flush latrines in the city of Datong will be phased out before the end of the year. Meanwhile, 30 rest areas for sanitation workers will be constructed. Public toilets and rest areas for sanitation workers will be combined.

Currently, 158 sites in line with the construction conditions of flush toilets have been selected, of which 94 will be constructed. Also, preliminary site selections for flush toilets in the southern suburbs, mining areas and development zones have been completed.
