When the five-day 2014 Datong Jade and Rare Stone Culture Exhibition in the Heyang Art Gallery, Datong, Shanxi province, ended on May 20, it had hosted at least 50,000 jade lovers from all over just to get a look at the exhibits.

This was the first time for the city of Datong to hold a national jade and rare stone exhibition of this kind, with a display of rare stones from around the country a show of Datong's standing nationwide and its diverse culture.

It will be followed by a number of other activities, from May 24 to June 8, on the city's Yuanxing St, for more exchanges and information for jade lovers.
