The Shanxi Brands Innovation Seminar, which was also a meeting to wrap up the Shanxi Brands China Tour, was held in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province, on Jan 13, where Sun Yuejin, the head of the provincial commerce department, reported that, with the Brands China Tour, Shanxi not only display its quality goods but also expressed its culture and charm.

The Shanxi Brands China Tour covered eight Chinese cities in 2013 -- the capital, Beijing; Huhhot, in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region; Guangzhou, Guangdong province; Chengdu, Sichuan province, the mega cities of Shanghai and Chongqing; Nanchang, Jiangxi province, and Wuhan, Hubei province – and resulted in sales of 12.65 million yuan, and contracts worth more than 1 billion yuan.

Seminar participants gave their own analysis of Shanxi companies and Shanxi brands and role that brands and innovation play in the province’s growth. Many Shanxi companies found innovative approaches and opportunities from the 2013 event and Wei Hulin, of the Shanxi Finance University, commented that this will help the companies learn more about the domestic and global situation to extend their marketing and share new ideas, and increasing the popularity of Shanxi brands and helping Shanxi's industrial transformation.
