Ecology projects bring beauty to Yuncheng

The city of Yuncheng, Shanxi province, has approved 215 ecology projects at a cost of 29.5 billion yuan in all, with plans to finish 10.2 billion yuan worth of that in 2013, to improve its overall image.

They cover water, wetland, and forest preservation, a green gallery, an ecological forest, and scenic gardens and involve the interactive development of eight parts of the city and upgrades of eight “branded” areas.

The eight parts of the city are the central, an older part, Yuncheng and Konggang economic and development areas, New Area to the east, Guansheng Tourism spot to the west, Biological area to the south, and High-tech area to the north. The eight branded areas are Guangong Airport, the Salt Lake, Biological Area, Guansheng architectural cluster, Yudu Park, a High-speed railway, Highway around the city, and the Yaoxian Canal.
