Kesi

Kesi, also known as "K'o-ssu", is the most traditional type of decorative silk work in China and is made using the tapestry method in fine silks and gold thread. As the imperial weaving style since the Song and Yuan dynasties (AD 960-1368), it has been honored as "the best weaving" and there was a saying that "An inch of Kesi is worth an inch of gold".

As an important element of "sericulture and silk craftsmanship of China", "Kesi woven skill" has been listed as a "Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity".
