Guiyang customs of Southwest China's Guizhou province signed a cooperation memorandum on Oct 13 in Chongqing for supporting the construction of the Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor along with 14 other customs agencies directly under China Customs.

The memorandum will enhance cooperation between regional customs agencies, as well as provide convenient and efficient customs clearance services across China Customs, which will promote industrial development in the area.

The Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor was co-established by provinces and autonomous regions in West China and Southeast Asian countries. It takes Chongqing as its operation center, and uses railway, sea, and highway transportation to connect with costal and border ports in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and other parts of the world.

By the end of September this year, the rail-sea combined transportation, cross-border highway transportation, and cross-border railway transportation along the corridor have been operated and cover 190 ports in 90 countries and regions, such as Singapore, Japan, Australia, and Germany.
