In recent years, Guizhou's tea industry has helped 152,000 poor people and lifted 89,000 of them out of poverty. The average annual income of people involved in the tea industry has reached 9,287.5 yuan ($1384.95).
Every year, the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government issue policies to support the tea industry. In addition, Guizhou promotes tea consumption through a variety of promotional activities.
Zhu put forward several suggestions on how Guizhou's tea industry can promote rural revitalization by accelerating the development of leading tea enterprises, promoting tea tourism, and strengthening the management of tea gardens.
