Guiyang holds first national tourism consumption summit

The 2018 China Tourism Scenic Area (Huaxi) Consumption Upgrading Summit kicked off in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 19, along with the establishment of the China Tourist Attractions Association Consumption Upgrading Professional Committee.

With the theme of "content creating the future", the summit drew more than 600 well-known scenic spot leaders, industry experts and cross-industry corporate leaders from all over the country to talk about new tourism development.

Lasting for three days, the event was hosted by the China Tourist Attractions Association and is China's first industry summit forum themed on tourism consumption upgrading.

The event was comprised of the committee establishment, a summit commencement, and an exhibition focusing on new tourism development directions, tourism innovation, all-in-one tourism and new development pattern exploration.

The organization's innovation at the summit was highlighted by the forum+innovation exhibition+field investigation. Its promotion was carried out by main media outlets, new media and special hosts.

During the meeting, new development dynamics for tourist attractions development were emphasized and attendees looked at new ways to develop tourist attractions, city tourism brand advancement, touring experience deepening and tourism consumption upgrading.
