The project signing and launching ceremony of the 4th International Exhibition on Green Industry was held in Duyun city in the Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province on Oct 21.
Held every five years, the International Exhibition on Green Industry is jointly hosted by the National Afforestation Committee, the State Forestry Administration and the provincial people's government of the host city. It is the highest event in the field of afforestation in China.
The exhibition coincided with an announcement that the construction of Qiannan Green Expo Park will be completed by 2020.
With a planned area of 11.5 square kilometers, the park is located in Duyun city. Its core area covers 3.9 square kilometers while two loop roads and two landscape belts provide access to water and mountain scenery for visitors. Additionally the park will have five different exhibition areas for entrance views, park sights, lake landscapes, mountain scenery and mountain conservation.
When completed, the Qiannan Green Expo Park will have a total of four entrances, one hundred exhibition parks and its landscape lake area will consist of an island with two lakes. The island will be a demonstration zone of a natural ecosystem with four lakeside ecological wetlands and six landscape bridges above two lakes.
