The first 24-hour self-service hall for traffic issues opened in Nanming district of Guiyang city, Southwest China's Guizhou province on July 26.

Comprised of 10 self-service machines, the hall allows people to search information regarding traffic violations, driving license expiration and online payment for fines.

At present, any single violation with a fine below 200 yuan ($29.34) and six points can be dealt with at the hall. Residents can apply for registration for up to five vehicles, making the process much simpler and more convenient.

A new self-service machine is now undergoing testing in the hall which would allow drivers to renew their license automatically and apply for motor inspection exemption.

The self-service hall is expected to become popular throughout the city.
