Runners to light up the night in Pingtan

The 2nd Cross-Straits Light Night Run Festival is set to be held in Pingtan, South China's Fujian province on the night of September 16.

Thousands of running enthusiasts from both Taiwan and the mainland shall participate in the annual sports event.

In addition to the traditional night run, this year’s festival will also be illuminated by other performances, including a light show, street dance show and graffiti exhibition.

A night bazaar shall also set up at Haiyu Plaza, the starting point of the race, where a dazzling array of cultural and creative products will be on display.
