An inspection team from the Fujian Provincial Power Company, headed by deputy general manager Zheng Jiasong, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) on Jan 26 with the aim of increasing the inspectors' understanding of the zone's electricity consumption.

The inspection team and the PCPZ government representatives discussed issues such as grid construction and maintenance.

Li Dejin, director of the PCPZ's administrative committee, said that power supply is essential for Pingtan's development, and the provincial power company and its subsidiaries have been playing an important role in power supply for Pingtan.

Li called on all governmental departments to pay attention to Pingtan's electric power development and to work together to solve any issues. He also urged the power sector to augment the county's power grid in accordance with its fast development.

Zheng said that the Fujian Provincial Power Company - part of the State Grid Corporation of China - will fully support infrastructure construction, such as grid and transformer substations, and make sure the power supply meets the demand.
