Pingnan Medicated Diet, chiefly edited by Su Weibang, former deputy director of the Pingnan people's congress, was published recently. It is the first book recording Pingnan's traditional medicated diet.

Pingnan's medicated diet, with a long history, was handed down orally without written records. In 2013, the Pingnan branch of the Fujian Association of Health-Protection Food (FAHP) organized an investigation group to look up records and carry out on-site investigations to collect herbal resources and traditional medicated diet recipes. The group took photos of herbs and recipes and edited them into a book.

The book has a quality assurance with professional support. Ye Jinxian, president of the FAHP, reviewed the book and added a section about recent scientific achievements of medicated diet as a second part. Chen Bo, vice-president of the FAHP, reviewed and revised the medicated diet recipes.
