Pingnan launches “House of Love” Project

On June 11, the launching ceremony for the "House of Love" Project, with a theme of "Watch My Dream", was held at the No 4 Middle School of Pingnan county.

During the ceremony, Mr Wu, headmaster of the school, pointed out that the launch of the project was a major event for the school, while fully affirming the significance of the project. Then Mr Zhou and Mr Zheng also made speeches, expressing congratulations and support for its start.

Mr Zheng affectionately called himself an alumnus of the students. He recalled his school experiences and encouraged the students to study hard in order to become useful people for society in the future. Mr Cai and Mr Zheng then inaugurated the “Watch My Dream” House of Love, followed by a student performance of poetry readings and singing.

A youth also made a statement, on behalf of his peers whose parents are working in far-away cities, to thank the leaders and teachers for building the project. Then leaders and students signed their names on a red banner dedicated to love. Finally, the students and volunteers took pictures together.

It is reported that over ten thousand yuan in donations was raised at the launch ceremony.

Present at the ceremony were: Mr Cai, a director from Kuo Foundation headquarters, Mr Zhou, director of the Pingnan Base, Mr. Zheng, head of Changqiao Township, Mr. Chen, Chairman of Changqiao Township’s People’s Congress, and some village leaders in Changqiao Town.
